What we collect when you use Gulf Edition, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Written to be read, not to be survived.
Gulf Edition is a luxury marketplace for real estate, cars, yachts, private jets and watches, operating at www.gulfedition.com. The site is operated by CARSCLUB FZ, a company licensed in the United Arab Emirates, which is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
This policy explains what we hold, why we hold it, who processes it on our behalf and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers everyone who uses the site: visitors who never sign up, buyers who make an enquiry, and private sellers, dealers and agencies who list with us.
We collect only what the marketplace needs to work.
We do not ask for identity documents, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own marketing.
A marketplace only works if buyers can reach sellers, so some information is public on purpose. When you publish a listing or a seller profile, the following can be seen by anyone and may appear in search engines: your display name or company name, your photo or logo, your description, your listings with their photographs and prices, and the contact methods you chose to show.
Everything else stays private. Your email address, your phone number where you have not published it, your billing history, the enquiries you send and receive, and your saved listings are visible only to you and, where relevant, the seller you contacted.
If you would rather not publish a personal phone number, list a business number or leave it out and take enquiries by email through the site.
Running a marketplace takes a small number of specialist services. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, works to our written instructions, and is not permitted to use your information for its own purposes.
These providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside the United Arab Emirates. We choose providers that offer recognised safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Your account and profile are kept while your account is open. Listings are kept while they run and for a period afterwards so you can relist without typing everything again. Enquiries are kept so both sides have a record of the conversation. Billing records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require, which is longer than the rest.
When you close your account we delete or anonymise what we no longer need. Some records are kept where we are required to, or where they are needed to resolve a dispute.

Write to contact@gulfedition.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, because we are not going to hand your account details to somebody who simply knows your email address.
The site runs over HTTPS everywhere. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and never stored in readable form. Access to seller data is scoped to the account that owns it, and administrative access is restricted and separately authenticated. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider.
No system is perfect. If you believe you have found a security problem, please write to us before disclosing it publicly, and we will work with you to fix it.
We update this page when the way we handle information changes, and the date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the site rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
Email contact@gulfedition.com and a person will answer. It is the fastest route for access, correction and deletion requests.
